COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to plan, design, manage and monitor an enterprise information and communications technology (ICT) network as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team responsible for advanced ICT network security systems. The qualification has a high-level ICT technical base with appropriate security units and the ability to specialise in a number of areas, including voice, wireless, network infrastructure and sustainability.

CERTIFICATION

Participants who successfully complete this course will be issued with a ICT60215 Advanced Diploma of Network Security. A Statement of Attainment will be issued to participants who partially complete this course.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Student should be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed year 12 (HSC or Equivalent)
  • Have sound communication skills:
    • Provide IELTS certificate showing a score of 5.5 or above (or equivalent)
    • Undertake and successfully complete The One International College Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
    • Be able to satisfactorily participate in pre-enrolment interview

SCHEDULE TIMELINE

It is planned that a student will complete all 12 units of competency within within 78 weeks.

  • Delivered over 78 weeks of institutional based training and assessment
  • 18 weeks school break
  • 20 hours of face to face study per week
  • Approximately 4 hours individual study per tuition week
